Teaching assistant / TA in Newport required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant / TA in a Special needs school based in Newport.

The role would be working 1:1 with a pupil with emotional behaviour difficulties. The school are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a particular interest with practical based learning and extra curricular activities.

The role will start off at the beginning of the academic year, with a look to potentially go permanent for the right teaching assistant / TA.

You will need to feel confident within an educational environment for these specific needs and be able to take direction from senior members of staff, whilst being able to build positive relationships with pupils due to their need for continuity and stability.

The role will include:

* Assisting key workers with activity preparation
* 1-1 work with children who require additional support
* Leading group work
* Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
