TeacherActive are looking for a SEND experienced TA / Special educational needs Teaching Assistant willing to work in a school in the Leeds area to have the opportunity to work in one of our Secondary Schools with a SEND partnership site where they are needing the support. I build great relationships with my schools and support staff so we can find the best placements for you.

In this setting 'Many of our learners have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Conditions, but this is by no means all of the learners, and they have a wide range of differing needs at our Primary and Secondary Schools. The class sizes vary between 6 to 12 learners.'

I am looking for a TA / Teaching Assistant to cover a long-term placement with the possibility of the school taking on permanently if the right fit. This would be mainly supporting students with their education and day-day activities. This is a valuable time to gain an abundance of experience to add to your profile and keep everyday exciting.

The ideal SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant should have the following:

* Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months' experience in SEND.
* Team Teach training is desired
* A calm and nurturing attitude
* Good communication skills
* A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
* Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis

All our supply staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you're paying the right level of Tax and National Insurance and there's no messing around with admin charges coming out of your hard-earned cash.
