Teaching assistant / TA in Cwmbran required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant / TA in a Special needs school based in Cwmbran.

The school is for children who have been diagnosed with having ASD and PMLD. They are aged 4-19 with complex and severe needs. The post requires caring and talented teaching assistants who are dedicated to supporting children with additional educational needs.

The role will start off being until the end of the academic year, with a look to potentially go permanent for the right teaching assistant / TA.

You will need to feel confident within an educational environment for these specific needs and be able to take direction from senior members of staff, whilst being able to build positive relationships with pupils due to their need for continuity and stability.

The role will include:

* Assisting key workers with activity preparation
* 1-1 work with children who require additional support
* Leading group work
* Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
