I am pleased to be working with a large mainstream Secondary School in Stafford who are looking for a Behavioural Manager to join them in October on a full-time, long-term basis. The Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school works very hard to make sure all children feel they are in a safe and positive environment and are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone experienced in Pastoral Care, Pastoral Head of Year or Behavioural Management, who can work closely with the rest of the dedicated pastoral and behavioural team to make a significant contribution to students welfare.

There is an opportunity for this role to become permanent for the right candidate.

To be successful for this role you will:

  • Understand barriers of learning and be able to implement strategies to help overcome them
  • Have excellent knowledge of effective pastoral strategies
  • Have experience working as part of a team, but can also work independently and manage own workload
  • Have excellent IT skills
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to maintain great working relationships with colleagues and pupils
  • Be able to think on your feet
  • Work in a fast paced environment

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Efficiently monitoring student progress
  • Working closely with the wider behavioural team
  • Ensuring students are supported effectively
  • Organizing and/or delivering 121 and small group intervention sessions
  • Attending regular meetings with the DSL and Safeguarding Team
  • Work proactive with vulnerable students

**Rate of pay for this role will be dependent on experience and qualifications**

Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure and provide at least 2 educational based references to be considered for this role
