History Teacher

South East/ temporary / £154 - 212 per day

TeacherActive are currently recruiting a History teacher for one of our partner schools in north Kent from September 2024. Role Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational History Teacher. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for history and a commitment to fostering a love for the subject among students. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students, helping them to develop a deep understanding of historical events and their significance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging history lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for history.

  • Contribute to the development of the history curriculum and participate in departmental meetings.

  • Support the school's commitment to extracurricular activities, including history clubs, trips, and events.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the subject and current educational practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Proven experience teaching history at secondary school level.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for history.
