TeacherActive is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kentish Town to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their large and well-established Special Educational Needs provision.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and wants to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment.

The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties

• Work 1:1 and in small groups within the SEN provision and mainstream classrooms

• Assist the class teacher and SENCO in implementing EHCP targets

• Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation

• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience working with children with SEN (school-based or alternative settings)

• Is patient, empathetic, and proactive

• Can work effectively as part of a team

• Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

• Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS
