We have an amazing opportunity for a passionate and ambitious maths educator to take on a temporary role with a ‘good’ rated large and modern college in Newcastle. The hours are 24 hours a week meaning it’s perfect for someone wishing to reduce their hours.
Maths Teachers teach a range of students to develop the Maths skills and qualifications, liaise closely with curriculum teams to ensure that student progress is effective and timely and counsel students and maintain discipline as required. Staff are involved in the recruitment of students including attendance at Shows and Careers Conventions and Open events at the College and contribute and demonstrate fully and at all times the positive promotion and role modelling of the College core values.
You will need to have experience teaching maths at GCSE level
The successful candidate will have a minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent), hold or be willing to work towards and achieve, a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent, along with commitment to, and evidence of, CPD. To hold Assessor / Verifier Qualifications would also be an advantage but is not essential.
