TeacherActive is currently working with a number of welcoming Early Years settings across Ammanford, supporting nurseries and childcare environments that focus on giving children a safe, happy, and engaging start to their learning journey.

We’re looking for Nursery Assistants / Early Years Practitioners who are confident, caring, and ready to jump into day-to-day or longer-term roles.

What the role is really like

No two days are the same in Early Years — and that’s part of the appeal.

You might be:

• Helping children settle into the nursery environment and feel secure
• Supporting play-based learning activities
• Encouraging communication, social skills, and independence
• Working closely with staff to support routines and development
• Keeping a calm, positive, and nurturing atmosphere throughout the day
• Supporting children aged 0–5 in line with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

It’s hands-on, active, and genuinely rewarding work.

What you’ll need

You don’t need to be overly complicated or tick every box — but this is what helps you succeed:

• Experience working with young children in Early Years or childcare settings
• A caring, patient, and positive approach
• A good understanding of how children learn and develop
• A Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential for all roles
• A “can-do” attitude and willingness to get stuck in
