Salary: £26,000 - £35,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

About the Role

As a Baby Room Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting the care, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0–2 years. You will work closely with colleagues and parents to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where babies can thrive and reach their developmental milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment that supports babies' individual needs and development.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate learning and development records.
• Support children's personal care routines, including feeding, changing, sleeping, and hygiene practices.
• Build positive and professional relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on their child's development and wellbeing.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times and promote the welfare of all children.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety throughout the nursery.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth day-to-day running of the baby room.
• Promote inclusion, equality, and diversity within the setting.

Requirements

• A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
• Previous experience working within a nursery baby room is desirable.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
