Start Date: Flexible Start
Salary: £92.63 - £130 per day (potential to go permanent for the right applicant)

The school is looking to appoint an SEMH Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and challenging behaviour, providing tailored support to improve engagement, emotional regulation and educational outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
• Essential experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour within UK schools
• A good understanding of behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, resilient and empathetic approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider support team
