South West/ contract / £120 - 220 per day

SEND Primary Teacher – January Start – BS13

TeacherActive are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the BS13 area who are seeking a SEND Primary Teacher to join their team from January until the end of the academic year.

This is a full-time role within a small, nurturing class of four pupils, some of whom have EHCPs. You’ll be supported by dedicated Teaching Assistants and a leadership team who prioritise inclusion, consistency, and positive outcomes for every child.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of each pupil

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs (including social, emotional, and communication differences)

  • Work collaboratively with LSAs, the SENCO, and parents to ensure progress against EHCP targets

  • Create a calm, structured environment that promotes confidence, independence, and curiosity

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent SEND-specialist qualification

  • Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND (primary-aged)

  • Strong understanding of differentiation, behaviour support, and inclusive classroom practice

  • Compassionate, flexible, and reflective approach to teaching

  • Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
