As a SEMH Teaching Assistant / TA you will be working with students, which may include outdoor activities and many ways of teaching and supporting children. As well as being a key figure in their lives, our teachers always look for fun and unique ways to be engaging in the classroom! We are looking for resilient, patient and kind teaching assistants who can help work in a SEMH school in the Telford area.

Schools are in search of a committed and enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term roles. They offer a wealth of experience, enabling you to develop as a teacher with competitive pay rates.

The ideal TA / Teaching Assistant should have the following:

  • Level 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational establishment
  • Good communication skills
  • Be patient and caring
  • A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
  • Strong behaviour management skills
