You will work closely with students who require additional support, helping them manage their emotions and develop healthy coping strategies. Your role will be pivotal in encouraging positive behavior, fostering self-esteem, and promoting resilience among the pupils.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to handling challenging behaviors.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with pupils.
- A commitment to promoting pupils' emotional well-being and personal development.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting students with SEMH needs, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and understood.
- Developing tailored strategies and interventions to help pupils manage their emotions.
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons that cater to individual learning needs.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to promote a positive learning environment.
