We're charitable here at TeacherActive, and every year we like to support several charitable causes. Cystic Fibrosis Trust is one we support every year and is a charity close to all our hearts. In 2022 we took our support to new heights!
Some of the TeacherActive team braved a sponsored skydive in September 2022, and to help them get there we created the #CFCustardChallenge!
What is the #CFCustardChallenge?
The rules are simple: Film yourself pouring custard over your head and nominate three friends to do the same. It's similar to the ice bucket challenges that were popular on the internet back in the late 2000s, but instead with lovely yellow custard. We loved seeing everyone take the plunge into the gunge to support this incredible cause and help us fundraise for the skydive.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition that causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing. Cystic Fibrosis Trust is dedicated to helping those who have CF and their families, as well as funding cutting-edge research and driving up the standards of care.
Thanks to all your donations, we raised over £4000 and made the jump for the charity skydive! The team had a fantastic time flying through the air, so thank you all so much for your donations.
