Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a vibrant and supportive primary school near Maidstone that is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September 2025.

This exciting opportunity is perfect for an HLTA who is committed to making a real impact in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support and lead learning across all key stages.

HLTA Responsibilities include:

• Supporting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons

• Leading small group interventions and whole class sessions as required

• Supporting the development of pupils' social, emotional and academic progress

• Assisting in the preparation of classroom resources

• Providing feedback to teachers and contributing to assessment

We are looking for a HLTA who:

• Holds HLTA status or equivalent qualifications/experience

• Has recent experience working in a UK primary school setting

• Is confident, flexible, and proactive in their approach

• Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

• Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
