Do you have a strong understanding of the national curriculum and the ability to adapt your teaching to suit individual needs?

TeacherActive is currently recruiting SEND and SEMH specialist Qualified Teachers for several outstanding specialist schools across Sheffield. Due to increased demand, we have both part-time and full-time opportunities available.

You’ll be delivering an engaging, cross-curricular programme tailored to the individual needs of your students. These schools specialise in working with pupils with ASD, SEMH, PDA, and MLD, and offer a nurturing environment that values creativity, sensory learning, outdoor experiences, and personalised development.

You’ll be joining dedicated and supportive teams who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people. These roles require patience, resilience, and a calm, consistent approach with strong boundaries.

The ideal SEND Teacher will have:

  • QTS, PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent teaching qualifications
  • Experience supporting young people with SEND or SEMH needs
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum
  • A creative, adaptable approach to teaching
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education
