TeacherActive is proud to partner with SEND / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities provision based in Bradford. The school follows a varied curriculum to suit the needs of the young people. Underpinning this, is the consistent teaching of people skills, and guidance to assist children develop their social, emotional, and personal abilities. Their culture is one of patience, inclusivity and helping children and young people with disabilities to achieve their confidence, iindependence and encourage them to learn.
The school is seeking a passionate team player to take on this short-term role as SEND Teacher, although there is potential for this to become a long-term placement for the right candidate. The successful SEND Teacher will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children's individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.
The successful SEND teacher will be working directly with students across all Key Stages, whose ages range from 5 - 19yrs. Most of the young people are diagnosed with either Autism / ASD, Learning Difficulties / LD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder / ADHD.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
- Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, specifically ASD, SLD, PMLD, ADHD
- A passion for working with students with SEND
- Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS is advantageous
