TeacherActive are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the Rochester area to recruit a committed Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team and make a meaningful impact in a vibrant classroom setting.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Teaching Assistant in Year 3, your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons.
Working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils to boost learning outcomes.
Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Helping to prepare learning materials and resources.
Supporting pupils with varying needs, including those with additional learning needs (SEND).
Encouraging positive social interactions and helping pupils to build confidence.
Providing regular feedback to the class teacher on pupil progress.
Supporting school activities and outings where required.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with primary-aged children (ideally KS2).
A genuine passion for education and helping young people thrive.
Adaptable, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
Ability to build strong relationships with children and staff.
Relevant qualifications or a background in education (desired but not essential).
