One of the UK’s biggest education recruitment agencies, TeacherActive, was highly commended for its learning culture and training initiatives at The Global Recruiter Awards 2024.
The agency, comprised of over 200 staff members across England and Wales, was nominated for the Best In-House Training Awards at the Global Recruiter Awards, recognising the best consultants, campaigns and candidate strategies that offer support and innovation to the industry.
TeacherActive is “a company which the judges said excels in fostering a dynamic and supportive learning culture. Their training initiatives not only boost individual capabilities but also contribute to the company’s impressive growth and success” according to The Global Recruiter Awards.
TeacherActive’s Academy Program was submitted to The Global Recruiter Awards due to its focus on inclusivity and creating a sense of belonging among team members. With 17 offices across the UK and a head office in Birmingham, consultants are geographically dispersed. The Academy ensures no one feels isolated during their first steps in their career and is designed to not only maximise the success of new sales consultants but also establish a foundation of consistency within the training process, allowing for a uniform approach to ensure a high standard of training.
This consistent approach allows for structured training but is not rigid in its delivery. Training is tailored to the individual, personalising learning goals and focusing on personal skills through phased training either in their local branch or in the head office’s dedicated training area.
The high commendation of TeacherActive’s Academy Program comes after the recruitment agency’s wins at a number of award shows in 2024. TeacherActive won ‘Specialist Recruitment Company of the Year’ at the Tiara Recruitment Awards and secured three awards at the UK Employee Experience Awards (UKEXA): securing gold in ‘Best Company to Work For – SME’ and ‘Learning & Development’ categories and securing bronze for ‘Best Employee Experience’.
Recently, TeacherActive were awarded as one of The Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work, referencing the “uncapped commission… extra annual leave to take part in charitable events and regular charity fundraising events. A diversity and inclusion committee organises regular cultural events too.”
Richard Taylor, Chief Operating Officer, said: “We’re proud to be Highly Commended for our In-House Training. A lot of work has gone into focusing on making people the best versions of themselves and fully helping them develop in their roles - from the induction on new starters’ first four days in the business to the advanced training group, and targeting those looking to make their first steps into leadership through Career Develpment Plans and the Leadership Development Group. Congratulations to all nominees and winners and thank you to everyone involved in making this happen.”
With an increasing share of the education recruitment market, TeacherActive has seen incredible growth over 2023 and 2024, welcoming new staff to join their internal team across England and Wales. For more information, visit TeacherActive’s careers page on their website.
