National education recruitment experts, TeacherActive, have been awarded ‘The Grant Thornton Specialist Recruitment Company of the Year’ Award at this year’s Tiara Recruitment Awards.

They also showcased effective leadership, a focus on DE&I with measurable impacts, and innovative practices supported by positive candidate feedback.”
TeacherActive’s core belief is that staff should feel uplifted to bring their whole selves to work. This emanates through a heavy investment in learning and development both for internal team members and their education staff. An internal Learning & Development team creates in-person, online, and virtual training sessions to help team members get the most out of their careers, providing information on the education and care sector, safeguarding, recruitment best practices and employability skills to further team members’ professional development. Training is facilitated by The Academy which, combined with milestone rewards, progression and benefits such as health insurance and extra days of annual leave, creates a well-rounded development strategy for internal team members.
Externally, TeacherActive founded My-Progression: a unique CPD platform to train and develop education staff in their careers. Topics such as safeguarding, challenging behaviour, classroom management, lesson planning and job interview tips are covered in bite-sized training videos that are made in-house at TeacherActive’s head office. The service is free for users and allows them to focus on specific areas of development in their careers while evidencing their CPD with free certificates.
