Salary: £110 – £130 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a wide network of secondary schools across Tonbridge and the surrounding area. We are actively recruiting Cover Supervisors to support our schools with high-quality, consistent staff.

Cover Supervisors play a vital role in schools on a day-to-day, long-term, or permanent basis. While the role does not include planning and preparation, strong communication and classroom management skills are essential.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Cover Supervisor with TeacherActive, you will:

• Supervise and maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom.

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities provided by the teacher.

• Manage student behaviour effectively to keep all learners engaged and on task.

• Support individual pupils or small groups as needed to enhance learning.

• Assist with classroom routines, including registration, transitions, and end-of-day procedures.

• Report on lesson progress and behaviour to the class teacher.

• Adapt to working across different subjects, year groups, and departments on a daily basis.

The Successful Cover Supervisor Will Have:

• CACHE Level 2/3 or at least 6 months relevant experience

• Confidence in managing a class of students aged 11–16

• Strong behaviour management skills to keep students engaged

• Flexibility to work across different departments and year groups daily
