The DT department is well-resourced and ambitious, and from September 2025, the school is seeking a Design Technology Teacher with a Food Technology specialism to join their thriving team. This is a full-time role until the end of the academic year, with the exciting possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
As a DT Teacher (Food Technology), you’ll inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop essential life skills, creativity, and an understanding of nutrition and food science. With excellent facilities and a collaborative team, you’ll have the opportunity to make Food Technology exciting, engaging, and relevant.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
Inspire creativity, confidence, and practical skills in every student
Adapt lessons to support and challenge learners of all abilities
Teach the importance of nutrition, health, and food safety
Contribute to extracurricular opportunities such as cookery clubs and competitions
What We’re Looking For
QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
Specialism in Food Technology (preferred)
A passion for food, nutrition, and equipping students with essential skills for life
Strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
A commitment to bringing out the very best in every student
