TeacherActive is actively recruiting Science Lab Technicians for a variety of potential opportunities in secondary schools across Bristol. Whether you're an experienced technician or looking to transition into a school-based role with a science background, we’d love to hear from you.

We work with a range of schools that often require long-term, short-term, and day-to-day support in their science departments. This is a speculative advert, designed to connect with great candidates ahead of confirmed roles from September.

As a Science Technician, your responsibilities may include:
• Preparing and setting up laboratory equipment and materials for practical lessons
• Supporting teachers and students during experiments and demonstrations
• Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
• Maintaining lab equipment and ordering stock as required
• Assisting with the safe disposal of hazardous materials

We’re particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have:
• Previous experience working in a science laboratory (ideally in a school setting)
• A science-related qualification or relevant laboratory background
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good knowledge of COSHH and health & safety protocols
• A proactive, team-focused attitude
