Job Title: P.E. Teacher (Early Careers Teacher)

Daily Rate: £145 – £165 (PAYE)

TeacherActive is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Bristol to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Careers Teacher with a P.E. specialism for a full-time role starting in September 2025. This position is ideal for a newly qualified teacher or a PGCE graduate looking to secure their first role in a nurturing school environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking and inclusive P.E. department that values teamwork, mentorship, and the development of early career teachers. The school provides a structured ECT induction programme, high-quality CPD, and regular support from experienced staff.
The Role:
As a P.E. Teacher, you’ll deliver a broad and engaging Physical Education curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5 depending on experience. You will also play a key role in extra-curricular sport, promoting healthy lifestyles and teamwork across the school community.
This role is particularly well-suited to an ECT with a P.E. specialism, or a PGCE graduate seeking a school that values energy, enthusiasm, and a commitment to whole-student development.
What We’re Looking For:
A UK-recognised teaching qualification (QTS or working towards QTS)
A P.E. specialism (Primary or Secondary PGCEs with a strong focus on Physical Education welcome)
A genuine passion for sport, fitness, and promoting active lifestyles
Excellent behaviour management and lesson planning skills
A proactive, reflective, and positive approach to teaching and learning
