TeacherActive is proud to partner with a SEND / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities provision based in Leeds. The school follows varied curriculumwhich suits the needs of the young people. Underpinning this, is the consistent teaching of people skills, and guidance to assist children develop their social, emotional, and personal abilities. With the aim to meet the specific needs of all our students by offering a range of personalised learning approaches and pathways, the school is looking for a dedicated SEND teacher to support the diverse needs of all students. ThisLeeds based school is seeking a passionate team player to take on this short-term role as SEND Teacher, although there is potential for this to become a long-term placement for the right candidate. The successful SEND Teacher will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children's individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.
The successful SEND teacher will be working directly with students across Key Stages, whose ages range from 11 - 19yrs. Most of the young people are diagnosed with Autism / ASD, Learning Difficulties / LD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder / ADHD.
