We are proud to be working with a thriving secondary school in the Medway area that is looking for a dedicated Social Sciences Teacher to join their team for the new academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to teach a range of social sciences subjects – such as Sociology, Psychology, and Health & Social Care – and to inspire students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Social Sciences Teacher, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across a range of social science subjects.

• Plan and prepare lessons in line with the curriculum and exam board specifications.

• Support students in developing analytical, evaluative, and research skills.

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.

• Prepare pupils for assessments and examinations, ensuring they achieve their full potential.

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school’s policies.

• Participate in departmental meetings, CPD sessions, and school events.

The ideal candidate will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent, with a specialism in a social sciences subject (ECTs welcome).

• Experience teaching Social Sciences at Key Stage 4 and/or Key Stage 5.

• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young minds.

• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
