The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Business and Economics Teacher to join the department from January 2025. This is a long-term role until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be teaching across Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level), inspiring students to achieve their best through engaging, high-quality lessons.
Roles and Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the Business and Economics curriculum
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring strong progress and achievement
Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, providing effective feedback to support learning
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated
Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and enrichment activities
Maintain high standards of behaviour, discipline, and attendance in line with school policies
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and whole-school initiatives
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student development
The successful Business and Economics Teacher will have:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with a specialism in Business and/or Economics (ECTs welcome to apply)
Experience teaching Business Studies and/or Economics up to KS4 and ideally KS5
Strong classroom management skills and a passion for delivering engaging lessons
