Job Title: Maths Cover Supervisor (ECTs Encouraged to Apply)
Location: Taunton
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £110 - £140 per day (depending on experience)
Working Pattern: Full-time, Long-term

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a well-regarded secondary school in Taunton, which is seeking a dedicated Maths Cover Supervisor to join their team as soon as possible. This long-term role offers a fantastic opportunity for ECTs or graduates looking to build experience before progressing into a full teaching role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared Maths lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting students to stay engaged and on task in the teacher’s absence.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a strong understanding of Maths at KS3 and KS4

• Be confident managing classroom behaviour and encouraging active participation

• Demonstrate clear communication and organisational skills

• Be adaptable, proactive, and enthusiastic about supporting student learning

• Ideally have prior experience working with secondary-age pupils (though not essential)
