Salary: £110 - £130 per day (depending on experience)

TeacherActive is working with a number of welcoming and well-resourced secondary schools in Bath, and we are looking to build our team of dedicated General Cover Supervisors for ongoing and future opportunities.

This role is perfect for individuals with experience in education — such as teaching assistants, learning mentors, tutors, or support staff — who are confident managing a classroom and keen to make a positive impact on students’ day-to-day learning. As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure students stay focused and motivated throughout the day.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have prior experience working in an educational setting (e.g. TA, HLTA, mentor, or similar role)

• Be confident managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning atmosphere

• Be adaptable, reliable, and able to engage students across a variety of subjects

• Have excellent communication and organisational skills

• Be available for day-to-day, short-term, or long-term placements
