Job Title: English Teacher (QTS or ECT)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic mainstream secondary school in Glastonbury, known for its inclusive ethos, dedicated staff, and commitment to student success. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled English Teacher to cover a maternity leave, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. This full-time role will begin as soon as possible and will continue for the duration of the maternity period, with salary paid to scale.
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT with strong subject knowledge
Have proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and a passion for inspiring young people
Be proactive, organised, and able to deliver engaging and challenging lessons
Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and supportive English department
