Salary: £170 – £200 per day (depending on experience)

TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a respected secondary school in Bristol, to appoint a dedicated Humanities Teacher from November 2025. This is a long-term position covering a planned staff absence, with the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 to 5.

As a Humanities Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Humanities curriculum (History, Geography, RE or related subjects)

• Differentiate effectively to support all learners, including those in exam year groups

• Contribute to curriculum planning and department development

• Create a positive classroom culture with strong behaviour management

• Engage with whole-school initiatives and enrichment activities

The ideal candidate will have:

• QTS or equivalent UK/overseas teaching qualification

• Strong subject knowledge in one or more Humanities disciplines

• A creative, inclusive, and reflective approach to teaching

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• A commitment to student progress and high standards of learning

ECTs are encouraged to apply – the school offers structured mentoring and a supportive induction programme.
