The Role
As a Health & Social Care Teacher, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, ensuring students develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding required for success in the health and social care sector.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons following the BTEC and/or OCR Health & Social Care curriculum.
Inspiring and supporting students to achieve strong academic and vocational outcomes.
Creating an inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and confidence.
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development.
Monitoring progress and providing effective feedback to learners.
Requirements
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised post-16 teaching qualification.
✅ Experience teaching Health & Social Care at KS4 and/or KS5.
✅ Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of vocational pathways.
✅ A commitment to inspiring students and raising aspirations.
✅ A collaborative and reflective approach to teaching and learning.
