We support a wide range of schools who regularly require assistance in their science departments—on a short-term, long-term, or day-to-day basis. This advert is to help us connect with outstanding candidates ahead of confirmed positions from September.

Typical Responsibilities Include:

• Preparing and organising scientific equipment, chemicals, and resources ahead of lessons

• Assisting teachers and students during practical sessions, including demonstrations and experiments

• Ensuring all experiments are conducted in line with health & safety regulations and school policies

• Cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring all tools and apparatus are in working order

• Managing and updating chemical inventories, placing orders, and overseeing the safe storage and disposal of hazardous substances

• Supporting the development of new experiments or practical demonstrations in line with the curriculum

We’re Particularly Interested in Candidates Who:

• Have previous experience in a science lab environment – ideally within a school or educational setting

• Hold a science-related qualification or relevant professional background

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of COSHH regulations and general laboratory safety protocols

• Have excellent organisation skills, time management, and an eye for detail

• Are adaptable, proactive, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team
