The school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join the department from January 2026. This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will teach across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), and there may be opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 (A-Level) depending on experience.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the school’s curriculum

  • Support students in developing strong numeracy skills and mathematical confidence

  • Prepare and guide students for GCSE examinations, ensuring progress and achievement

  • Assess, track, and record student attainment, providing constructive feedback

  • Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity and resilience

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, discipline, and academic engagement

  • Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and whole-school initiatives

  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities


The successful Maths Teacher will have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with a specialism in Mathematics (ECTs welcome to apply)

  • Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)

  • Strong classroom management and a commitment to raising attainment

  • A passion for helping students succeed in Maths through engaging and creative teaching
