Nursery Assistant

Job Title: Level 2 Nursery Practitioner
Location: Bristol
Start Date: ASAP (or after October half term)
Salary: £14 – £15.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you a caring and dedicated Level 2 Nursery Practitioner looking for a long-term opportunity in a warm and well-established nursery setting in Bristol?

Do you hold a Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education and have a passion for helping young children grow, learn, and develop in a safe and stimulating environment?

We are delighted to be working with a wonderful nursery in Bristol that is looking to welcome a new practitioner to their friendly team. This is a long-term position with the strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Located in a fantastic area with excellent transport links, the nursery is known for its supportive team, nurturing atmosphere, and commitment to providing high-quality early years care and education.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework

• Assisting with observing and recording children’s progress and contributing to their learning journeys

• Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for children aged 0–5 years

• Building strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues

• Helping to maintain routines and ensuring all safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed

We welcome applications from candidates who:

• Hold a Level 2 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent)

• Have previous experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting

• Have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development

• Are enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate about supporting children’s learning

• Work well as part of a team and have strong communication skills
