With a strong emphasis on physical development, teamwork, and wellbeing, the PE department plays a vital role in the life of the school.
The school are seeking to appoint a passionate PE Teacher to join the team on a short-term contract from January to March 2026. The successful candidate will be teaching across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), delivering a broad and inclusive PE curriculum.
Roles and Responsibilities
Plan, deliver and assess engaging PE lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Motivate and inspire students to develop a lifelong interest in sport, health and fitness
Deliver lessons across a variety of sports and physical activities, both indoor and outdoor
Prepare students for practical and theoretical assessments, where applicable
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among students
Maintain high standards of behaviour, participation, and safety in all lessons
Organise and support extracurricular sporting clubs, teams, and inter-school events
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and across the school
The successful PE Teacher will have:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent in Physical Education (ECTs welcome to apply)
Experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4 level
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
A genuine passion for sport and physical education
