Primary SEND LSA

Being an experienced Primary SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is an incredibly rewarding role that allows you to make a real difference in the lives of children who need additional support. Using your specialist knowledge, patience, and compassion, you play a vital part in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.

TeacherActive are working closely with a number of warm, welcoming, and supportive primary schools across Bristol who are looking for confident, caring, and experienced SEND LSAs. In this role, you will use your skills to provide tailored one-to-one or small-group support, adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, assist with communication and social development, and help create a positive and engaging classroom environment. You will work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure every child receives the right support in line with their EHCP and individual goals.

⭐ What You’ll Be Doing

• Using your confidence and presence to inspire and motivate students
• Building positive relationships and supporting student learning
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
• Managing behaviour in a calm, encouraging and professional manner
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

We’re Looking For

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• SEND specific training
• Experience providing one-to-one support or small group intervention
• Experience supporting behaviour management strategies
