Are you a patient, supportive, and passionate Learning Support Assistant looking for a new and rewarding challenge?
Do you love helping children reach their full potential and thrive in a nurturing environment?
A fantastic Primary School in Handsworth is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their friendly Year 1 team from January 2026. You’ll be supporting a wonderful child with Autism, providing consistency, care, and encouragement throughout the academic year.
About the Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key part in helping this pupil flourish both academically and emotionally by:
Providing one-to-one support tailored to their individual needs
✨ Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
Helping to create a calm, structured learning environment
Building a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil and the wider team
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you:
✅ Have experience working in Primary settings
✅ Have supported children on a 1:1 basis, ideally with Autism
✅ Are patient, positive, and reliable
✅ Can follow the teacher’s direction while bringing your own warmth and initiative
✅ Are passionate about helping every child feel valued and supported
