✨ About the Role
We’re looking for a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 1 with Complex ASD, who is non-verbal.
You’ll be based in the main Year 1 classroom, supporting the child throughout the school day and helping them engage with learning in a way that best suits their needs.
This is a full-time, long-term role for the entire academic year, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference and be part of a truly supportive school community.
✅ We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, ideally Autism
Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE or equivalent)
Can follow direction and support plans from the Class Teacher and SENCO
Is patient, positive, and nurturing in their approach
Can build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff
Is reliable, flexible, and passionate about inclusive education
