Are you a passionate Maths teacher with experience supporting pupils with SEND, looking for a long-term opportunity to make a real difference? We are seeking a SEND KS3 Maths Specialist Teacher to join a supportive, pupil-centred provision in South Gloucestershire.
In this role, you will work with young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop essential skills in a calm, structured environment. Your expertise in Maths will enable pupils to engage with learning in a way that is accessible, meaningful, and motivating.
About the Role
This long-term opportunity is ideal for a teacher who is patient, adaptable, and resilient. You will work with Key Stage 3 pupils, many of whom have additional needs including ASD, learning difficulties, and SEMH. You will help pupils achieve academic success while supporting their social and emotional development.
You will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, working alongside teaching assistants and specialist staff, in a well-resourced environment that values staff wellbeing, professional growth, and innovation in teaching.
As a SEND KS3 Maths Teacher, your role will include:
Delivering engaging, differentiated Maths lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs
Supporting pupils’ social and emotional development
Encouraging independence, confidence, and resilience
Contributing to a flexible, pupil-centred curriculum
Working closely with teaching assistants and therapy professionals to maximise outcomes
The position is full-time, with part-time options considered.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / ECT / NQT)
Experience teaching Maths to pupils with SEND (ASD, SEMH, ADHD, learning difficulties)
