TeacherActive are seeking a patient, committed and skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil on a 1:1 basis in one of our partner primary schools in Solihull. This is a long-term position running from December 2025 through to July 2026.
The successful candidate will be working with a Year 5 pupil working at Early Years/Foundation Stage level. The ideal applicant will be confident in adapting learning materials to meet developmental needs and providing calm, consistent support throughout the school day.
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working with SEND pupils, particularly those working significantly below age-related expectations.
Be comfortable working 1:1 and building a trusting, nurturing relationship with the child.
Hold a solid understanding of the Primary National Curriculum and how to differentiate learning.
Hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
Hold a valid DBS Certificate on the Update Service or be willing to complete a new Criminal Conviction check.
Be able to provide two professional references from recent roles.
