SEND Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist educational setting supporting students with a range of SEND, including autism, complex needs, and physical disabilities.

The Teaching Assistant Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with diverse learning needs

• Assist with classroom activities and help implement individual learning plans

• Support students with personal care needs, ensuring dignity and respect at all times

• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to support pupil progress

The Ideal Teaching Assistant:

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Compassionate, resilient, and committed to supporting students with additional needs

• Experienced in working with SEND (experience in personal care is highly desirable)

• Able to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative where needed

• Flexible, reliable, and available for temporary assignments
