Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
TeacherActive are looking for caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our team and provide high-quality support in a specialist educational setting.
The Role as a Learning Support Assistant:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work alongside teaching staff to help students with a range of additional needs, including physical, sensory, and complex learning difficulties. Your support will help students access the curriculum, develop life skills, and achieve their personal potential.
Daily responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant:
Providing one-to-one or small group classroom support for students with SEND
Assisting with personal care tasks such as toileting, feeding, and mobility support
Supporting students’ social and emotional wellbeing
Encouraging independence and confidence in a safe and nurturing environment
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
The Ideal Candidate as a Learning Support Assistant will have:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school or care experience welcome)
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach
The ability to build positive relationships and maintain professional boundaries
Flexibility and reliability
A willingness to support with personal care as required
