TeacherActive are proud to be working with a well-regarded specialist school in Winsford, dedicated to supporting children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
About the School
This welcoming and inclusive school provides a nurturing, person-centred environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential. The setting caters for students aged 3–19 with a variety of needs including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and complex communication needs. Staff are passionate about creating an environment that is supportive, stimulating and structured, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and wellbeing.
The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with additional needs.
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to support learning and development.
Help to create a safe, engaging and positive learning environment for all students.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in supporting children or young people with SEND (essential).
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to a variety of learning styles.
Able to work collaboratively as part of a committed team.
Confident in supporting both academic and emotional development.
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential for the right experience and attitude.
