Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Temporary)

Contract: Full-Time, Temporary
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £90-£120 per day

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school community in Hereford. This is a full-time temporary position, supporting students across all year groups and key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside teaching staff in a range of subjects, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support across a variety of subjects and year groups (Key Stages 3–4).
• Assist individual students and small groups to access learning and reach their full potential.
• Support teachers with preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
• Help to maintain a calm and focused classroom atmosphere.
• Provide feedback on student progress and contribute to assessment where appropriate.
• Assist with supervision during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities as required.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about supporting young people and helping them to succeed.
• Adaptable and confident working across different subjects and age groups.
• A good communicator, with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
• Experienced in a similar school support role

Requirements

• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
• Availability for full-time working hours during term time.
