About the Role

TeacherActive are proud to be working with several forward-thinking secondary schools across Swindon that are on the lookout for vibrant, reliable, and engaging Cover Supervisors to join their teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for aspiring teachers, graduates, or anyone with a passion for education to gain hands-on experience in the classroom — while earning and developing essential skills for a future teaching career.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom in the absence of the teacher, leading pre-prepared lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment, and helping students stay motivated and on task.

Every day is different, every class is unique, and no two lessons are ever the same — so if you thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment, this role is for you!

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects

• Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students engaged

• Creating a positive, inclusive atmosphere where learning can thrive

• Building strong relationships with students and staff

• Gaining invaluable classroom experience for a future in education

About You

We’re looking for people who are:

• Confident, enthusiastic, and ready to take initiative

• Able to build rapport quickly and motivate students

• Organised, flexible, and adaptable in a busy school environment

• Passionate about education and making a difference

• Experienced working with young people (either in schools, coaching, or youth settings)
