TeacherActive is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Bath to appoint a dedicated DT Teacher from September 2025. This is a confirmed, long-term position covering a planned staff absence. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 to 5, with the full support of a well-established Technology department.

As a DT Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, practical DT lessons across KS3–KS5

  • Supporting students with coursework and project-based assessments

  • Contributing to the development of an innovative and inclusive DT curriculum

  • Collaborating with a dynamic team of subject specialists

  • Playing a part in whole-school activities and enrichment opportunities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • QTS or equivalent UK/recognised overseas teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology

  • A creative and structured approach to lesson planning and delivery

  • Good classroom management and a passion for hands-on learning

  • A willingness to support students of all abilities, including exam groups
