Nursery Practitioner

TeacherActive are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and caring Nursery Practitioners to join well-established nurseries in the Bishop’s Stortford and wider Hertfordshire area. If you are passionate about working with children and supporting their early years development, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a full-time position, with part-time opportunities also available for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for children aged 0–5 years

• Support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

• Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote curiosity, learning, and creativity

• Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

• Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children at all times

• Maintain accurate records of children’s development and progress

• Work effectively as part of a team to provide high-quality childcare

• Uphold all safeguarding, equality, and inclusion policies

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or working towards)

• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach

• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
