Residential Care Worker – Pontypool

£13.69 per hour

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for Residential Care Workers to join a dedicated team within a residential care setting based in Abertillery and the Newport Valleys.

This setting supports children and young people aged 4 to 16 years with additional learning needs, including diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and various forms of trauma. We are seeking compassionate, patient, and committed individuals who are passionate about pursuing a rewarding career in the care sector.

Flexibility is essential for this role, as the company operates on a rota of two days on, four days off, including sleep-in shifts.

You should be confident working in a home environment tailored to these specific needs and able to follow guidance from senior staff while building positive, trusting relationships with young people, who benefit greatly from continuity and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting key workers with activity preparation
• Providing one-to-one support to children requiring additional assistance
• Leading group activities
• Assisting class teachers with pupil observations
