Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Manchester
Salary: £90 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

TeacherActive are proud to be working with a number of specialist and mainstream schools across Manchester that support pupils with SEMH needs. These schools are seeking confident and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to join their teams and help create a calm, safe, and supportive environment for their students.

We are looking for individuals who can build strong, trusting relationships and have the confidence to de-escalate challenging situations while encouraging positive behaviour.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, behavioural, or complex needs

• Hold a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)

• Hold a Team Teach qualification (desirable)

• Come from a background in sports coaching, youth work, or mentoring

• Be resilient, adaptable, and passionate about helping students achieve their potential
